HAUL | MAC ALLURING AQUATIC

MAC has been bringing out so many collections lately, it's kinda crazy. I haven't really been into any of them, until I saw the poster for the Alluring Aquatic collection - I know I wasn't the only one excited about this one. I'll admit that the absolutely stunning packaging is what sold me on this collection (how did they even come up with that?). In Iceland there are only two MAC stores and we can't purchase online, so getting the best products from a limited collection means waiting outside the store until it opens and going crazy once you get in. Now I couldn't do that because I don't live near a MAC store, but I had my phone ready and called right when the clock ticked 10.

Sadly, all of the products (except one) I wanted were gone. I got the Refined Golden bronzer (mainly because I thought that the packaging on that one was to die for) and the extra dimension eyeshadow in Soul Serenade. The bronzer is a permanent product, just in the limited edition packaging. It looks like it's going to have a lot of shimmer, but the shimmers don't transfer on to the face - so it's a very nice bronzer with a bit of sheen, great for that summer glow. The eyeshadow is gorgeous, it's super soft and blends really nicely. It's a hard color to explain, MAC describes it as a “deep plum brown”. It's definitely deep and dark. It'll be great for smokey eyes.

I am so sorry that I am posting about these so late. Even though I am very sad I couldn't get all of the products I wanted (I really wanted the blushes and two other eye shadow shades), I did manage to get Enchanted One lipstick and I'm waiting for that to arrive in the mail. Did you manage to get your hands on anything from the collection?

Ég veit að ég var ekki sú eina sem var spennt fyrir henni. Ég viðurkenni að fallegu pakkningarnar er ástæðan fyrir því að mig langaði svo í hluti úr þessari línu (hvernig datt þeim þetta eiginlega í hug??). Þar sem að ég bý ekki í Reykjavík þurfti ég að hringja og láta senda til mín, og þar af leiðandi voru flestar vörurnar sem mig langaði í uppseldar. En ég náði að næla mér í tvennar vörur.

Ég náði að næla mér í Refined Golden sólarpúðrið (það er alltaf til í MAC en pakkningin var svo fín að mig langaði í það núna). Sólarpúðrið lítur út fyrir að vera með glimmer, en það sést ekki á húðinni og kemur út meira eins og fallegur gljái. Æði fyrir þetta sumar glow. Hin varan sem ég náði að næla mér í var Extra Dimension augnskugginn í litnum Soul Serenade, hann er ótrúlega mjúkur og blandast auðveldlega. Það er erfitt að útskýra litinn en MAC segjir að hann sé "deep plum brown". Hann er klárlega dökkur og verður frábær í smokey lúkk.

Ég biðst afsökunar á að setja þessa færslu upp svona seint (það eru kannski nokkrar vörur eftir í MAC). Þó ég sé leið að hafa misst af því sem mig langaði í (langaði að prufa kinnalitina og tvo aðra augnskugga), þá náði ég samt að næla mér í Enchanted One varalitinn og kemur hann vonandi til mín sem fyrst. Nældir þú þér í eitthvað fínt úr línunni?
