REVIEW | LA GIRL GLAZED LIP PAINT - ELUDE & TEMPT

LA GIRL GLAZED LIP PAINT IN ELUDE

LA GIRL GLAZED LIP PAINT IN TEMPT - ONE LAYER VS TWO LAYERS

LA Girl is one of the many new brands that are now available in Iceland (thank you Icelandic online shops, you make us make up addicts very happy). I had heard a lot about the very affordable LA Girl line, mostly their lip products and concealers so I picked up a few things and have been trying them out for about a month. Today I'll be sharing with you my thoughts on the Glazed Lip Paints - a lipstick / lipgloss hybrid.

I picked up two shades, a pinky/coral nude called Elude and Tempt, a dark berry red shade. The Glazed Lip Paints are very pigmented and leave a beautiful glossy finish on the lips. They come in a big tube (0.40 fl. oz/12 ml) so you get a ton of product but the "applicator" isn't the best, just a slanted plastic edge with a hole in the middle where you squeeze the product out. The texture is quite runny so it can be difficult to apply (Elude wasn't quite the hassle but Tempt was a pain in the butt), I say use a brush with these and your life will be a lot easier. Because the consistency is quite runny they do feather out a bit so I like to use a lip liner with this product, it stops the color from feathering and makes the edges a lot neater. Again because of the runny consistency I had to apply two layers of the darker shade, Tempt, to get the opacity I wanted (these will also look great over lipstick, especially the darker ones). These Glazed lippies lasted pretty well on me - the intense gloss went away after about an hour but the actual color lasted for a good 3-4 hours (the darker shade left a nice stain as well). The didn't dry out my lips at all and had a slight minty scent.

I do really like these, they're fun and the shade selection is great! I am all for affordable lip products so I really want to pick up more shades and I'll probably go for the lighter ones as I thought Elude performed a bit better then Tempt. Have you tried these?

Hefur þú prófað Glazed Lip Paint-in?

  3. Ooh, these look gorgeous! I especially love the look of Elude. I like it when a gloss fades to a bit of a stain, rather than having to worry about keeping it topped up.

  4. Wow these look gorgeous, I haven’t actually heard of LA Girl before but sound fab :) I like it when lipsticks or glosses leave a stain as you don’t have to worry about frequent touch ups - fab review :)
