YSL COUTURE VARIATION - 1 NU*

YSL COUTURE MONO - 7 CAFTAN*, 13 FOUGUE*

EEEK! I am excited about sharing these with you guys. As I said in my previous post, YSL just brought out two brand new eyeshadow palettes along with many individual shadows. I've been playing with these since I got them and they are oh-so good. Let's do this!

First off, the very beautiful Couture Variation in 1 Nu* (it also comes in Tuxedo, which is darker and more cool toned - very smokey eye appropriate). In this little palette you've got 10 eyeshadows, ranging from light to dark. There are three matte shades, a few what I'd call a satin and a few that look almost metallic. I have fallen for this palette, not only are the shades stunning the texture of the shadows is just dreamy. Buttery smooth and easy to blend with no fall out, super pigmented and last all day - perrrfect. The only con in my opinion is that I wish there was a lighter highlight shade, I am a pale gal so the bone color is a bit too dark for me. The packaging is very pretty, sleek and compact with a nice mirror and a duo sided brush that is actually useable. (I'd say that this Nu palette is what I always wanted from the Naked palettes but never got - sorry Urban Decay)

I also have two of the Couture Mono single eyeshadows, a stunning neutral matte dark brown called 13 Fougue* (I have a feeling that this and the darkest shadow in the palette are the same, they look identical swatched side by side) and a very pretty purple called 7 Caftan*. The texture of these is the same as the palette - just beautiful, buttery smooth goodness. In the lid there are two little brushes - a sponge brush (boo) and a nice little blending brush (yayy).

 I am absolute shit at describing colors so I'll let the swatches speak for themselves.

I am so happy with these three guys, the formula is pretty darn perfect which makes the shades so easy to work with - you could be terrible at make up but still manage to do a beautiful look with these. They do come with a hefty price tag though, $95 for the palette and $30 for the single shadows - but I think they are worth it, at least the palette. Will you pick these up?

//Jiiii ég er svo spennt að deila þessari færslu með ykkur. Eins og ég sagði í síðustu færslu þá er YSL búið að gefa út nýja staka augnskugga ásamt tveimur gullfallegum augnskuggapallettum. Ég er búin að vera að leika mér með augnskuggana síðan ég fékk þá í hendurnar og þeir eru hreinlega ó-svo góðir. Hendum okkur í þetta!

Fyrst er það gullfallega Couture Variation 1 Nu* pallettan (líka til í Tuxedo sem er kaldari og dekkri, fullkomin smokey palletta). Í þessari litlu pallettu færðu 10 augnskugga, frá ljósum upp í dökka. Það eru þrír mattir litir, nokkrir sem ég kalla satin og nokkrir sem eru nánast metallic. Ég er fallin fyrir þessari fallegu pallettu, litirnir eru ekki bara fallegir heldur er áferðin á skuggunum nokkuð fullkomin. Mjúkir eins og smjör og auðveldir í blöndun án þess að detta niður, vel litsterkir og endast allan daginn - perrrfect. Eina kvörtunin mín er að ég vildi að það væri einn ljósari litur, ég er svo ljós að beinlitaði liturinn er of dökkur fyrir mig sem highlight. Pakkningarnar eru mjög sætar, sleek og vel gerðar með spegil og bursta sem er í alvöru hægt að nota. (Ég myndi segja að þessi Nu palletta er það sem ég vildi úr Naked pallettunum en fékk aldrei - sorry Urban Decay).

Ég er líka með tvo Couture Mono staka augnskugga, virkilega flottur mattur dökkbrúnn með neutral undirtón sem kallast 13 Fougue* (er nokkuð viss um að þessi og sá dekksti í pallettunni eru þeir sömu, swatchaðir hlið við hlið eru þeir alveg eins) og svo virkilega fallegur fjólublár sem kallast 7 Caftan*. Áferðin á þessum er eins og skuggarnir í pallettunni - mjúkir og góðir. Í lokinu eru svo tveir burstar, einn svampbursti (búú) og einn ágætis blöndunarbursti (jeii).

Ég er hreinlega hörmung að lýsa litum þannig ég leyfi swatch-unum að tala fyrir sig sjálf. 

Ég er virkilega ánægð með þessar augnskugga, formúlan er fullkomin svo það er ótrúlega auðvelt að vinna með þá - þú gætir verið hörmung í förðun en samt náð að gera fallegt lúkk með þessum. Þetta eru ekki ódýrustu vörurnar í boði en mér finnst þær peninganna virði. Ætlar þú að næla þér í?
