I like false lashes, I really do, but for some weird reason I've never really talked about them here on my blog, so I thought today would be a good day for some fake lash lovin'. I wasn't #BLESSED in the eyelash department but I don't have the worse lashes either, they are short but quite full so I am usually looking for a bit of extra length. I've put together this little collage of some of my favorite lashes and I'm going to talk you through most of them, let's go!
As most of us know, Tanya Burr released her own line of lashes recently and I must say she did very good. My favorites from the line are the Date Night* lashes (used here), they give my lashes length and volume without looking fake, and the Every Day Flutter* lashes (used here), which are my PERFECT half lashes and add a very subtle but beautiful oomph to any make up look. I love individual lashes and use them often on both myself and clients, the Tanya Burr Individual Lashes are great as you get three lengths in the set but I usually tend to buy the Ardell Individuals Knot Free (in Medium and Short). Talking about Ardell, I am probably the only person ever that doesn't like their Demi Wispies, I've simply never been able to make them work on myself but for some odd reason the Salon Perfect Demi Wispies work great for me, they are beautiful - add a bit of volume and flare out.
My lash drawer mainly consists of Red Cherry lashes, I am a huge fan of their beautiful, inexpensive lashes and I always buy them in bulk (here). My all time favorite style from them are the 217 lashes, very natural and easy to apply but add a ton of length, a bit of volume and flare out in the outer edges. I use these on myself and clients all the time, they are just gorgeous. When I want to go all out with some crazy beautiful lashes I tend to go for the MAC 35's or House of Lashes Iconic lashes. The MAC 35's are different from the lashes I usually go for as they are the longest in the middle and are very straight (+ they're brown, not black). They took a bit of getting used to but now I love them (and I always get compliments when I wear them), they are great paired with a brown smokey eye. The Iconic lashes are very intense, very full and very long and insanely beautiful (used here).
Last but not least - my favorite eye lash glue in the entire world, the House of Lashes Eyelash Adhesive is brilliant. It's latex free so it's great for my sensitive eyes, it has a brush applicator, it dries very quickly (you don't have to wait forever until it get's tacky) and it holds your lashes in place all day long - oh! and it also smells like flowers. Brilliant.

//Ég elska gerviaugnhár, en út af einhverri furðulegri ástæðu hef ég lítið talað um þau hér á blogginu, svo ég ákvað að í dag myndi ég loksins deila með ykkur mínum uppáhalds gerviaugnhárum. Ég var ekki beint #BLESSED með mín náttúrulegu augnhár en þau gætu þó verið mikið verri, þau eru stutt en nokkuð þétt svo ég sækist oftast eftir almennilegri lengingu. Eins og við vitum flestar þá kom Tanya Burr út með augnhár nýlega og það verður að segjast að þau komu mjög vel út. Uppáhöldin mín úr línunni eru Date Night* (notuð hér), þau þykkja og lengja án þess að verða gervileg og Everyday Flutter* (notuð hér) sem eru mín fullkomnu "hálf-augnhár", þau blandast auðveldlega við mín augnhár og gefa förðuninni extra oomph. Ég elska stök augnhár og nota þau mikið bæði á sjálfa mig og á kúnna. Stöku augnhárin frá Tanya Burr eru algjör snilld þar sem það eru þrjár lengdir í pakkanum en ég kaupi þó oftast Ardell Individual Lashes Knot Free (Medium og Short). Talandi um Ardell, þá er ég líklegast eina í heiminum sem hefur ekki getað notað Demi Wispies frá þeim. En Demi Wispies frá Salon Perfect eru hins vegar ótrúlega fín á mér, þykkja vel og lengjast út við endann.
Red Cherry ræður ríkjum í augnháraskúffunni minni, ég hreinlega elska fallegu og ódýru augnhárin þeirra og kaupi alltaf fullt í einu (hér). Uppáhalds parið mitt frá þeim eru 217 augnhárin. Þau eru mjög náttúruleg, lengja helling, þykkja smávegis og lengjast svo við endann. Ég nota þau mikið á mig og aðra, þau eru ótrúlega falleg. Þegar ég vil almennilega dramatísk augnhár þá verða yfirleitt MAC 35's eða House of Lashes Iconic augnhárin fyrir valinu. MAC 35 eru ólík hinum augnhárunum sem ég nota þar sem þau eru lengst í miðjunni og eru mjög bein (þau eru líka brún). Það tók smá tíma að venjast þeim en núna elska ég þau (fæ líka alltaf hrós þegar ég nota þau!), fullkomin pöruð með brúnu smokey. Iconic augnhárin frá House of Lashes eru mjöög dramatísk, mjög þykk og löng og einfaldlega GULLfalleg (ég notaði þau t.d. hér).
Síðast en ekki síst er það augnháralím, mitt uppáhalds er House of Lashes Eyelash Adhesive. Það er hrein snilld - latex frítt svo það er mjög gott fyrir mín viðkvæmu augu, borið á með bursta, þornar mjög fljótt (þarft ekki að bíða lengi þangað til að það verði "tacky") og heldur augnhárunum á allan daginn - og já! það lyktar eins og blóm. Snilld.
