A BLOGGERS WORLD - PHOTOSHOP AND FREE STUFF?

PICTURES BEFORE VS AFTER EDITING (BRIGHTNESS+CROPPING)

I wanted to make a little post about two things that seem to be much talked about these days - photoshop and bloggers getting things for free.

Photoshop : The new thing these days is "photoshopping" Instagram pictures - hey, even Beyonce is doing it. I have one of these apps on my phone and I do use it occasionally but only when I have a pretty pimple I feel is ruining the picture. I don't want or need bigger lips or a slimmer face - I am the way I am. Now on to the pictures that go up on this blog, I don't ever photoshop my pictures (heck, I don't even have Photoshop on my computer). For editing my pictures I simply use iPhoto to bump up the brightness and crop them but that's usually it.  Most of my posts are me showing you how products look on the skin, so airbrushing would be cheating.

Free stuff : I don't get paid for blogging, at all. I don't have ads on my blog and I don't get paid to do sponsorships. I do however occasionally get products for free from PR. When I do get products I try them out and see if I like them, if I do I write a post telling you guys about it but when I don't like it - I don't mention it. I've said this before, I don't like my blog to be negative so when a product doesn't work for me, I simply don't talk about it. As the side bar of my blogs says "any items sent to me for free will be marked with an asterisk (*)".

I am always 100% honest with you guys, all opinions are my own and the face in the pictures is what I actually look like. Blogging is a beautiful thing for me, I love sharing my thoughts with people all around the world and even though I am very new to the blogger thing I've met a lot of lovely people. Thank you for reading my blog, whether you are a new reader or you've been with me since the awkward beginning x

  3. I'm with you in regards of Photoshop. I rarely ever do any editing on my pictures unless the lighting is horrible. I rather show the real thing.
