Ofra Liquid Lipsticks hafa verið að sigra snyrtivöruheiminn síðustu mánuði, svo sem ekki skrítið þar sem formúlan er ein af mínum uppáhalds. Hún er meira eins og "mousse", þornar flauelsmött og maður finnur eiginlega ekki fyrir neinu á vörunum en samt endast þeir rosalega vel. Töfrum líkast! Ofra fór nýlega í samstarf við Youtube risann Manny MUA, hann skapaði þrjá fallega liti fyrir merkið og hafa þeir, vægast sagt, slegið í gegn.
Litirnir þrír eru allir mjög Manny-legir, klæðilegir með bleikum/mauve undirtón. Sá ljósasti, Aries, er ljós ferskjubleikur. Hrikalega sætur en kannski ekki eitthvað sem ég er vön að teygja mig í, kom mér þó mjög á óvart! Miðjuliturinn er Charmed, hann er búinn að vera langvinsælastur enda hinn fullkomni bleiki mauve litur. Sá dekksti er í miklu uppáhaldi hjá mér og heitir Hypno. Hypno er ótrúlega fallegur burgundy litur, ég er vanalega ekki hrifin af svona litum á mér en það er eitthvað við þennan sem hreinlega virkar! 
Ég mæli klárlega með því að skoða þessa fallegu varaliti frá Ofra, þeir eru seldir í Fotia og kosta aðeins 1990 krónur stykkið (Charmed er væntanlegur aftur bráðlega!). 
PS. Ég er enn að vinna í að gera lip swatches af öllum Ofra litunum, ég næ vonandi að klára þetta bráðlega!
//The Ofra Liquid Lipsticks have been taking the beauty world by storm lately, not surprising as it's one of my favorite liquid lipstick formulas out there. It's more of a mousse, dries to a velvety matte finish that's pretty much undetectable on the lips but still manages to stay put for a long time - magical! Ofra recently teamed up with Youtube sensation Manny MUA and he created three beautiful shades that have been making beauty lovers very happy.
The three shades are all very Manny like, wearable with a pink/mauve undertone. The lightest one, Aries, is a peachy-pink nude. Very cute but not something I'd usually go for, it really surprised me though as it was pretty darn cute! In the middle there's the most popular one, Charmed, simply a perfect pinky mauve. The darkest one, Hypno, is my favorite. It's a beautiful burgundy shade, which usually doesn't suit me but somehow this one just works!
I definitely recommend checking out these beautiful liquid lipsticks from Ofra, if you're in Iceland you can buy them from Fotia  (which ships internationally btw) or you can check out the Ofra website to see if anyone carries them near you x

REVIEW • THEBALM MEET MATT(E) HUGHES

It's time for my favorite thing, liquid lipsticks. The Balm recently (or not so recently) added liquid lipsticks to their range and they're called Meet Matt(e) Hughes. Available in 8 beautiful shades ranging from nudes to bright pinks up to dark reds. I was lucky enough to receive the three shades that looked fancied me the most and I must say, theBalm did a good job.
As with all products from theBalm, the packaging and shades names are both pretty and fun. It's got a classic doe foot applicator that I find works pretty well for application, a minty scent that I like and the formula is like an in between of the velvety smooth Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet (review) and liquidy-ness of the LA Girl Matte Pigment Glosses (review). Fully opaque at first swipe, totally matte within a few minutes and quite long lasting with out drying out the lips. Because of the non-dryness it doesn't last quite as well as some others, it will rub off when you eat or drink (especially in the middle) but if you're not doing all of that, you should be fine for a good 5-6 hours.
I like these, I think they did a good job, especially with the shade selection. Charming has become a big favorite of mine and the price isn't bad either, only 2890 ISK ($17) on lineup.is!

Þeir eru í boði í 8 fallegum litum; allt frá nude til bjartra bleika til dökkrauðra. Ég var svo heppin að fá þá þrjá sem heilluðu mig mest og ég verð að segja, theBalm stóð sig með prýði.
Eins og með allar vörur frá theBalm þá eru pakkningarnar og nöfnin bæði sæt og skemmtileg. Ásetjarinn er klassískur doefoot (íslenska takk?) sem mér finnst virka ágætlega, með góðri myntu lykt og formúlan er eins og blanda af flauelsmjúku Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet (færsla) og fljótleika LA Girl Matte Pigment Gloss (færsla). Þeir þekja alveg í fyrstu stroku, þorna alveg mattir innan nokkra mínútna og endast nokkuð lengi án þess að þurrka varirnar. Þar sem þeir þurrka varirnar ekki þá endast þeir ekki alveg jafn vel og margir aðrir fljótandi varalitir, þessir munu fara af við það að borða og drekka (aðallega í miðjunni) en ef þú ert ekki að því þá endast þeir í alveg 5-6 klukkutíma án vandamála.
Ég er hrifin af þessum, theBalm stóð sig virkilega vel með litina, Charming er klárlega í miklu uppáhaldi. Þeir eru líka á fínu verði, 2890 krónur fyrir stykkið inná lineup.is - ég mæli með! 

REVIEW • CLINIQUE POP LIP COLOUR

I am pretty much a stranger when it comes to Clinique, I've tried a few things from the brand here and there but never major. I've been tipping my toes into the Clinique waters after receiving two of the Pop Lip Colour lipsticks and I gotta say, I'm impressed. 

The Pop lipsticks come in an array of 16 beautiful shades, I've got two; Beige Pop* and Poppy Pop*. Both lipsticks are very pigmented, buttery smooth and feel extremely comfortable on the lips. They have a soft sheen finish to them, not too glossy nor too matte - just the perfect in between. They last all day on the lips without feeling drying or bleeding into fine lines. 

Clinique calls it a "Colour+Primer" which at first had me thinking it was a gimmick but I forgive them because the formula is pretty perfect. All I know is that I want more - Melon Pop, I am coming for ya! Have you tried these? 

//Ég þekki ekki mikið til Clinique, ég hef prófað nokkrar vörur hér og þar en aldrei neitt almennilega. En fyrir stuttu fékk ég senda til mín tvo af Pop Lip Colour varalitunum frá merkinu og ég var sko ekki svikin!

Pop varalitirnir eru í boði í 16 fallegum litum og ég valdi mér Beige Pop* og Poppy Pop*. Báðir varalitirnir eru litsterkir, mjúkir sem smjör og mjög þægilegir á vörunum. Þeir hafa léttan glans - ekki glossaðir og ekki mattir, bara fullkomin miðja. Það besta er að þeir endast allan daginn á vörunum án þess að þurrka þær eða að blæða í línur.

Clinique kallar þá "Colour+Primer" sem mér fannst hálf hallærislegt fyrst en ég fyrirgef þeim það því að formúlan er nokkuð fullkomin. Ég veit allavega að ég vil fleiri - Melon Pop, ég þrái þig! Hefur þú prófað Pop litina frá Clinique?

We all know that liquid lipsticks are a all the rage right now, but for good reason as they tend to last well on the lips and won't smudge all over your pretty face. LA Girl, a very inexpensive brand that I've been loving, recently came out with their Matte Flat Finish Pigment Lip Gloss (could the name be any longer?). Offering 16 beautiful shades for $5 (1490 ISK in Iceland) a pop, I was very excited to give them a go.
The packaging is pretty standard, nothing crazy beautiful but for $5 I aint complaining. The formula is pretty liquidy, like a verrrry light mousse and the applicator is a nice stiff doe foot which is perfect for applying the color evenly onto the lips. Once applied it takes a little while to dry to a matte finish and after that it stays on for a good 5-6 hours without feeling drying. I have five shades, three of which performed beautifully and were super pigmented at first swipe, two of the shades were a bit more patchy than the others. 
Iconic - a blue based barbie pink. My least favorite of the bunch, a bit patchy and looked chalky on the lips.  Timeless - a darkened fuschia. Super pretty. Rebel - a berry color. One of my favorites, such a pretty shade. Obsess - a coral red. My favorite, beautiful shade that's perfect for summer. Black Currant - a very deep purple. Beautiful shade but a bit patchy.
There's that, these are beautiful and affordable liquid lipsticks! I know I'll be buying more, Fleur and Instinct are definitely on my wishlist. Have you tried these? What are your favorite liquid lipsticks?
//Það vita eflaust flestir að liquid lipsticks eru hrikalega vinsælir um þessar mundir, ekki skrítið þar sem þeir eru vanalega mjög endingagóðir og klínast ekki um allt andlitið. LA Girl, merki með mjög ódýrar en góðar vörur, kom nýlega út með Matte Flat Finish Pigment Lip Gloss (gæti nafnið verið lengra?) sem koma í 16 fallegum litum á litlar 1490 krónur ($5 í USA), ég var vægast sagt mjög spennt að prófa.
Pakkningarnar eru einfaldar, ekkert til að hrópa húrra yfir en fyrir verðið þá kvarta ég ekki. Formúlan er nokkuð blaut, eins og mjööög léttur mousse og ásetjarinn er stífur doe foot (eins og á glossum) sem er fullkominn til að setja litinn jafnt á varirnar. Þegar liturinn er kominn á varirnar tekur hann smá tíma að þorna og verður síðan alveg mattur. Liturinn endist síðan í góða 5-6 klukkutíma án þess að þurrka varirnar. Ég á fimm liti, þrír af þeim voru frábærir og vel pigmentaðir en hinir tveir voru aðeins erfiðari. 
Iconic - barbí bleikur með bláum undirtón. Þessi er ekki í miklu uppáhaldi hjá mér, hann þekur ekki alveg jafn vel og hinir og var mjög þurr á vörunum. Timeless - dökkur fúsía litur. Mjög sætur. Rebel - berja litur. Einn af mínum uppáhalds, mjög fallegur litur. Obsess - kóral rauður. Algjört uppáhald, gullfallegur litur sem er fullkominn fyrir sumarið. Black Currant - mjög dökkur fjólublár. Fallegur litur en þarf að byggja upp í lögum til að ná fullkomnri jafnri áferð. 
Þannig er það, virkilega góðir og ódýrir varalitir! Ég ætla mér að kaupa fleiri, Fleur og Instinct eru efst á óskalistanum. Hefur þú prófað þessa? Hverjir eru þínir uppáhalds liquid lipsticks?

REVIEW • ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS LIQUID LIPSTICKS

PURE HOLLYWOOD : A pinky/beige nude

HEATHERS : A deep brown red

SAD GIRL : A darkened plum shade with a metallic finish

Hello there ladies and gents, it's time for a liquid lipstick review. The ones I've got today are from Anastasia Beverly Hills and they took the beauty world by storm a few months back. I had heard mixed reviews but mostly good ones so I wanted to give them a try and decide for myself, so I picked up three shades when they finally got back in stock.

Let's start with the pros : these are very pigmented, beautifully packaged and easy to apply. The texture isn't as liquidy as some liquid lipsticks but it's not thick either - kinda like a very light mousse? Because of it's texture it doesn't dry super quickly like some other liquid lipsticks do, so you do have some play time with it and you can blend the shades together with other lipsticks/liquid lipsticks. Also because of the texture, it doesn't dry out your lips, which is always great. The doe foot applicator is almost perfect and you can get a pretty crisp line using just that (I always use a lip line with Pure Hollywood though but simply because it's such a light shade).

On to the cons : These don't last as long as other liquid lipsticks, I feel like everyone has been ignoring and not mentioning that fact but it's true. Because they don't dry out the lips they don't last through out the entire day. Heathers was the worst for me, as it smudged everywhere pretty easily. Pure Hollywood and Sad Girl last about 4-5 hours (if I'm not eating), Pure Hollywood fades away nicely but Sad Girl chips away horribly, so if you don't want to look crazy I would bring the color with you.

I do like these, the shade selection is great and the ones I purchased are simply stunning (Sad Girl is actually the prettiest dark shade I have in my entire collection). I like that they don't dry out the lips but I just wish they'd last a bit better. I say, if you are in love with a shade from the range GO FOR IT but if they aren't screaming your name, you aren't missing out on anything amazing. Have you tried these? Do you think they are worth the hype?

//Jæja gott fólk, það er loksins komið að því að tala um Liquid Lipsticks frá Anastasia Beverly Hills. Þessir komu út fyrir nokkrum mánuðum og það varð allt klikkað. Ég heyrði misgóða hluti um þá en flestir voru þó nokkuð jákvæðir. Ég ákvað að prófa þá til að geta myndað mína eigin skoðun svo að þegar þeir komu loksins aftur "in stock" splæsti ég í þrjá liti.

Við skulum byrja á kostunum : þeir eru mjög litsterkir, í fallegum pakkningum og auðveldir í ásetningu. Áferðin er ekki jafn þunn og í mörgum öðrum liquid lipsticks en hún er samt ekki þykk - eiginlega eins og létt mousse? Út af áferðinni þá þornar liturinn ekki ótrúlega hratt svo maður hefur smá tíma til að lagfæra eða blanda saman við aðra liti. Einnig útaf áferðinni, þá þurrka þeir varirnar ekki. Mér finnst "ásetjarinn" vera ótrúlega góður og með honum er hægt að ná fallegri jafnri línu auðveldlega (ég nota samt alltaf varablýant með Pure Hollywood, en bara afþví hann er mjög ljós).

Þá eru það gallarnir : Þessir endast ekki jafn lengi og margir aðrir liquid lipsticks, mér finnst margir hunsa þá staðreynd þegar það er talað um þá en svoleiðis er það bara. Eins og ég sagði, þeir þurrka ekki varirnar en það þýðir hreinlega að þeir munu ekki endast allan daginn. Heathers var verstur að mínu leiti, hann klesstist útum allt nokkuð auðveldlega. Sad Girl og Pure Hollywood voru aðeins betri og héldust á í 4-5 tíma (ef ég borðaði ekki). Pure Hollywood dofnaði fallega í burtu en Sad Girl flagnaði í burtu, hörmung. Það er eiginlega nauðsynlegt að hafa hann með í veskinu ef þú ferð eitthvað út, annars muntu enda eins og klikkhaus (hehe).

Já, ég fíla þá alveg, mér finnst snilld að þeir þurrka ekki varirnar en mér finnst eins og þeir verði að endast aðeins betur, allavega 1-2 tíma í viðbót. Litaúrvalið er samt æðislegt og ég er mjög sátt með litina sem ég valdi mér (Sad Girl er fallegasti dökki varalitur sem ég hef séð, í alvöru). Ég segji að ef það er einhver litur sem hrópar á nafn þitt, go for it en ef enginn heillar þig, þá ertu ekki að missa af neinu stórkostlegu. Hefur þú prófað þessa? Finnst þér þeir góðir?

There's something about beautiful lipsticks, a beautiful red lipstick might actually be the classiest thing there is and I recently found a new red that I've fallen for. Don't get me wrong, I am in no way, shape or form saying goodbye to my fav Russian Red but this little guy is making me very happy and I've actually been wearing it quite a lot, it's one of the new Rouge Coco shades from Chanel and it's called Arthur. 

Arthur is a warm orangy red, a very pretty warm orangy red. It goes on opaque in one swipe and it has a nice glossy finish, not so glossy that I feel like it's going to slip and slide all over my face but just the right amount of glossy. The color stays on my lips very well BUT it bleeds, quite a lot actually. So a lipliner, lip primer or an anti-feathering liner is necessary with this. Arthur is very comfortable on the lips an gives them a tiny bit of moisture through out the day. 

Arthur gets two thumbs up from me; it's a gorgeous shade that makes me feel pretty and classy - what more do you want from a lipstick?

Fun fact : all of the Rouge Coco lipsticks get their name from someone in Coco's life and they are devided into five groups; muses, lovers, family, best friends and artists. Arthur is a red, so he was one of her lovers.

Arthur er hlýr appelsínu rauður, mjög fallegur hlýr appelsínu rauður. Hann þekur vel í  fyrstu umferð og er með fallega glossy áferð, ekki svo glossaður að ég sé hrædd um að hann smitist út um allt andlit heldur bara ákkurat nógu mikill/lítill gloss. Liturinn helst ótrúlega vel á vörunum EN hann blæðir í línur, nokkuð mikið. Svo það er nauðsynlegt að nota varablýant, vara primer eða anti-feathering blýant með þessum varalit. Arthur er mjög þægilegur á vörunum og gefur smávegis raka í gegnum daginn.

Arthur fær tvo þumla upp frá mér; liturinn er gullfallegur og mér finnst ég sæt og classy þegar ég nota hann - þarf maður eitthvað meira úr varalit?

Skemmtileg staðreynd : allir Rouge Coco varalitirnir draga nafn sitt frá manneskjum í lífi Coco og er þeim skipt upp í fimm hópa; fjölskyldan, listagyðjurnar, vinirnir, elskuhugarnir og listavinirnir. Arthur er rauður svo hann var einn af elskhugum Coco.

Oh how I love finding good affordable make up - I've been trying out the Créme Lipsticks from LA Girl these last few weeks and they're bloody great. They cost $4 a pop in the US and here in Iceland you can purchase them on Fotia.is for 1190 ISK (that's a price you never see here in Iceland), so yes I had to try them and I am glad I did.

Let's go through the whole shebang - packaging isn't the greatest, it's not Wet'n'Wild terrible but it's not YSL good-good (you get what you paid for, so I won't complain). It's black, with pink lettering and a clear top so you can easily see the color. They have a strong flowery scent that I find delicious but may annoy others. I purchased 3 shades - Forbidden Love, Romance and Be Mine. I would say that they have a satin finish although Be Mine felt a bit more like a matte. They are fully opaque in one swipe and feel creamy and buttery. They last really well on the lips and don't dry them out (they don't give my lips a ton of moisture either, the color just sits there). All in all a great lipstick with a silly little price tag!

I love these and I recommend you trying them out, I want to add more to my collection and see if I can find some good MAC dupes (I know you want them). Go give these a go! Don't let the cheapy packaging scare you - it's on the inside that matters x

//Ég hreinlega elska að finna góðar ódýrar förðunarvörur - ég er búin að vera að prófa Créme Lipsticks frá LA Girl síðustu vikurnar og þeir eru frábærir. Þeir kosta litlar 1190 krónur á Fotia.is (líklegast ódýrastu GÓÐU varalitir landsins) svo ég einfaldlega þurfti að prófa og ég er glad I did!

Okei hendum okkur í þetta allt - pakkningarnar eru ekkert magnaðar, ekki Wet'n'Wild hörmung en ekki YSL dásemd (en fyrir verðið kvarta ég ekki). Túban er svört með bleikum stöfum og glæri loki svo liturinn sést auðveldlega. Það er sterk blóma lykt af þeim sem mér finnst mjög góð en hún gæti angrað aðra. Ég keypti mér þrjá liti - Forbidden Love, Romance og Be Mine. Ég myndi kalla áferðina "satin" en Be Mine minnir meira á mattan. Varalitirnir þekja alveg í fyrstu stroku og eru mjúkir og góðir. Þeir endast mjög vel á vörunum og þurrka þær ekki (þeir gefa vörunum engan raka heldur, þeir bara sitja þarna). Allt í allt frábærir varalitir með virkilega skemmtilegum verðmiða!

Ég elska þessa og mæli með því að þú prófir, ég ætla að bæta fleirum í safnið og gá hvort ég geti ekki fundið nokkra líka MAC (ég veit þú villt það). Farðu að kaupa! Ekki láta ódýru pakkningarnar hræða þig - ekki dæma bók eftir kápunni x

REVIEW | MAYBELLINE COLOR ELIXIR

As a matte lip lover and a hater of all things sticky and messy I rarely buy lip glosses. So even though everyone seemed to love the Maybelline Color Elixirs from the very beginning (I am pretty sure they came out in late 2013) they simply didn't tickle my fancies. But as I was #feelingspendy whilst walking around the make up aisles of Target (oh America, how I miss you so) these pretty things called my name so I thought "hey, let's give these a try". I picked up three shades, two very safe and one a bit more crazy.

Yes, Maybelline definitely did good on these. Not only is the packaging very pretty, the actual product is also pretty darn good (oh and the shade selection is also brilliant). They are very smooth and hydrating on the lips, not sticky but just a tiny bit tacky, which helps them stay on longer. The pigmentation is definitely there with the bolder shades but the lighter shades don't come off quite as strong, I don't mind that at all because I prefer all glosses for topping off a beautiful lipstick - which these do very, very well. The applicator is a super soft spade shaped sponge which makes applying the product very easy.

These get two thumbs up from me, they are just beautiful. If you are looking for some glossy prettiness in your life you should give these a try, I will definitely be adding more to my collection!

//Ég er mikið fyrir mattar varir og hræðist allt klístrað og subbulegt svo ég kaupi sjaldan glossa. Allir hafa lofað Maybelline Color Elixirs glossana frá því að þeir komu fyrst út (held í enda 2013) en þeir einfaldlega heilluðu mig ekki. En meðan ég ráfaði um snyrtideildina í Target (ó elsku Ameríka) í #feelingspendy stuði, kölluðu þessar dúllur á mig og ég ákvað að gefa þeim séns. Ég körfuna fóru þrír litir, tveir "öruggir" og einn nokkuð klikkaður.

Já, Maybelline stóð sig vel með Color Elixir-in. Pakkningarnar eru ekki bara gullfallegar heldur er varan sjálf æðisleg (og litavalið er líka frábært). Glossin eru mjög mjúk og nærandi á vörunum, ekki klístruð en smá "tacky" (íslenskan er erfið..), sem hjálpar glossunum að haldast lengur á. Klikkuðu litirnir eru klárlega mjög pigmentaðir en ljósu litirnir þekja ekki alveg jafn vel, það angrar mig samt alls ekki þar sem mér finnst gloss hvorteðer lang best ofan á fallega varaliti - Color Elixir-in standa sig með prýði svoleiðis. Burstinn er mjög mjúkur spaðalagaður svampur sem er mjög auðveldur í notkun.

Þessir fallegu glossar fá tvo þumla upp frá mér, alveg æðislegir. Ef þú villt glossa lífið þitt upp þá mæli ég með þessum, ég verð allavega að bæta fleiri litum í safnið!
