TRAVEL | THE MAKE UP BAG

Sorry for not posting for so long! The boyfriend and I went on a little trip to Akureyri along with his family so I took a little computer break, we had a wonderful time but now I am back! While I was there I decided to snap some shots of the make up I brought with me. I must say I did pretty good and didn't over pack! Some good old favorites along with some newer bits. In the second and third photo you can see all of the make up and brushes I took with me. I did go a bit overboard in the brush department, but then again, I always do. The weather was crazy good the whole time we were there, so the lashes were a bit unnecessary because the make up stayed pretty natural and effortless.

In the fourth picture are the products I used the most. For foundation I mostly used my Laura Mercier Mineral Powder or if I wanted to look like a dewy goddes, I used Face and Body from MAC. MAC Pro Long-wear concealer did it's job at concealing my under eye area and I used Hourglass Ambient Lighting powder in Diffused Light to set it (I've really been loving this stuff lately). The Nars Guy Bourdin palette has become a staple in my travel make up bag, I used Laguna as my bronzer and for my blush I used one of the ones in the palette or my beloved Milani Louminoso. Anastasia Brow Wiz, Anastasia Clear Brow gel and the ELF Eyebrow Kit were used on the eyebrows to make me look human again. 

When I travel, I always like to take my MAC quad and fill it with the shadows I want to use. These four are usually the ones I go for, Woodwinked (probably my all time favorite eye shadow), Shroom, Texture and A Little Folie. Woodwinked all over the eyes and into the crease is great for everyday, but when I went out I added a bit of A Little Folie to the outer corners, Texture to blend everything out and Shroom to highlight. Now on to the lips! Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfector has become one of my favorites and was used for everyday, easy breezy lips. When I wanted a bolder lip I went for Lady Danger by MAC or the Lime Crime Velvetine in Suedeberry (you guys know how much I love this thing). That's it!

What products do you bring along when traveling?

Við skemmtum okkur vel í góða veðrinu en núna er ég komin aftur! Þegar ég var þar, ákvað ég að taka nokkrar myndir af því sem ég tók með mér. Ég stóð mig vel að þessu sinni og pakkaði ekki of miklu með mér! Á annari og þriðju myndinni sjást allar þær vörur sem ég tók með mér. Förðunin var alltaf létt og náttúruleg útaf góða veðrinu og voru gerviaugnhárin því ekkert notuð.

Á fjórðu myndinni eru svo þær vörur sem ég notaði mest. Sem farða notaði ég oftast Laura Mercier Mineral púðrið en ég notaði stundum Face and Body frá MAC. Pro Long-wear hyljarinn frá MAC stóð sig eins og hetja við að hylja undir augunum og ég notaði Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder í Diffused Light til að setja þar (er að elska þetta púður þessa dagana). Guy Bourdin pallettan frá Nars er orðin nauðsyn í ferðalög, ég nota Laguna sem sólarpúður og á kinnarnar nota ég annað hvort einhvern lit úr pallettunni eða minn heittelskaða Louminoso frá Milani. Anastasia Brow Wiz, Anastasia Clear Brow Gel og Eyebrow Kit-ið frá ELF voru svo notaðar til að móta augabrúnirnar! 

Ég fylli alltaf litlu MAC pallettuna með þeim augnskuggum sem ég mun nota þegar ég ferðast. Þessir skuggar verða oftast fyrir valinu, Woodwinked (líklegast minn uppáhalds augnskuggi allra tíma), Shroom, Texture og A Little Folie. Woodwinked er frábær yfir allt augnlokið og í glóbuslínuna fyrir hversdags, en ef ég vildi vera aðeins fínni notaði ég smávegis af A Little Folie í ytri hornin og blandaði öllu út með Texture, síðan Shroom til að highlighta. Á varirnar notaði ég mikið Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfector, hann er æðislegur fyrir létta dagförðun. Ef ég var í stuði fyrir aðeins djarfari varir notaði ég Lady Danger frá MAC eða uppáhaldið Suedeberry frá Velvetine línu Lime Crime. Komið!

REVIEW | LIME CRIME PINK VELVET VELVETINE

I've already praised the Suedeberry Velvetine on my blog (post here). Pink Velvet is the newest addition to the permanent Velvetine collection so I knew I had to try it out. The name Velvetine says it all, it feels soft like velvet on your lips. Pink Velvet is a bold pink shade, you could say a neon dark pink. The Velvetines are very matte and they stay on like no other, without leaving your lips extremely dry and uncomfortable. I can't recommend these enough, you really need to try one! Lime Crime recently released a black Velvetine, let's just say I'm need it. ASAP!

//Ég hef nú þegar lofað Suedeberry Velvetine frá Lime Crime á blogginu (hér). Pink Velvet er nýr litur í Velvetines línunni og ég bara þurfti að prufa hann. Nafnið Velvetine segjir allt sem segja þarf, það er eins og þú sért með mjúkt velvet efni á vörunum. Pink Velvet er bjartur bleikur litur, eiginlega neon bleikur í dekkri kantinum. Velvetines eru mjög mattir og endast ótrúlega lengi á vörunum, án þess að gera varirnar þurrar og óþæginlegar. Ég get ekki mælt meira með þessum Velvetine vörum, þú verður að prufa! Lime Crime gaf nýlega út svartan Velvetine, úff hvað ég þarf að prufa hann!

REVIEW | LIME CRIME GERADIUM

Lime Crime Geradium $18

Lime Crime has won the beauty community over with it's unicorn decorated packaging and unique shades. I've already done a rave review on the Velvetine in Suedeberry and it is now time to tell you guys what I think of the first lipstick I have from the company. Geradium is a very bright coral pink and screams spring and summer. It's neither matte or shiny, just the perfect in between. It is very pigmented and smooth on the lips. It wears off nicely and leaves a pretty pink stain. The only thing I didn't like about it is that the color looks a lot different on the pictures online. So the shade was a bit different from what I was expecting, but don't get me wrong, I am not disappointed as it is a very pretty shade. Can't wait to rock this with a lovely tan in the summer sun!

//Lime Crime hefur svo sannarlega heillað bjútí heiminn uppúr skónnum með einhyrninga skreyttum umbúðum og öðruvísi litavali. Ég hef nú þegar lofað Suedeberry Velvetine frá þeim og nú er komið að fyrsta varalitnum sem ég prufa frá fyrirtækinu. Geradium er mjög bjartur bleikur kóral litur sem öskrar sumar og sól. Hann er hvorki mattur né glansandi, heldur hin fullkomna miðja. Liturinn er mjög pigmentaður og mjúkur á vörunum. Hann helst ágætlega á og þegar hann er farinn af, skilur hann eftir fallegan bleikan lit. Eina sem mér líkaði ekki við vöruna, var að liturinn leit öðruvísi út á myndunum frá Lime Crime. Svo að liturinn var ekki eins og ég átti von á, en samt sem áður er ég mjög ánægð með hann því hann er mjög sætur. Get ekki beðið eftir að nota þennan í sumar með fallega brúnku! BEAUTY WISHLIST

I've been really good this month and haven't bought any make up other than the Naked 3 palette. That meanse that the wish list keeps getting longer and longer. These are a few things that are on my wish list right now. Both some old things I've wanted for ever and also some new bits and bobs.

The Nars lip laquer in Chelsea Girls and the newest Velvetine from Lime Crime which is called Pink Velvet are new additions to my wish list, the Lime Crime one being a very vibrant matte pink and the Nars lip laquer a pinky nude gloss. MAC Morange has been on my wish list for a long time, I need it for the summer. I've wanted to try the Velour lashes for a long time, the ones that I like the most are the ones called Doll Me Up. The Smashbox Full Exposure palette is a newcomer on my wish list, it's such a pretty neutral palette. More neutral eyeshadows (because I don't own enough), I've heard great things about the Make Up Geek eyeshadows and I really want to try out some of their shades, on the picture you see Shimma Shimma, Peach Smoothie, Chickadee and Cocoa Bear. 

Hourglass products have been getting a lot of hype lately (mostly because of their Ambient Lighting Powders, I own Diffused Light) and they recently released Ambient Lighting Blushes. My jaw literally dropped when I saw these suckers online. I need at least one in my life, this one is Ethereal Glow. Another Hourglass product is their Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil which is different from most eyebrow pencils because it has a thick slanted point. Next are two Nars products, the Pro Prime Smudge proof Eyeshadow Base (that's a handful) is supposed to be great for oily eyelids so I really want to try it out. Lastly the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, the oh-so hyped up and loved by beauty bloggers and Youtubers. I need this, ASAP.

What's on your wishlist these days?

//Ég er búin að vera mjög stillt í þessum mánuði og hef ekki keypt mér neinar snyrtivörur fyrir utan Naked 3 pallettuna. En það þýðir að óskalistinn verður lengri og lengri. Hér eru nokkrar vörur sem eru á óskalistanum núna. Nokkrar gamlar sem ég hef viljað í mörg ár ásamt nokkrum nýjungum.

Fleiri neutral augnskuggar sem mig langar í (því ég á svo fáa...) eru frá Make Up Geek, hef heyrt svo góða hluti um þá og verð að prufa sjálf. Hourglass vörurnar eru búnar að vera mjög vinsælar uppá síðkastið (aðallega útaf Ambient Lighting púðrunum þeirra, ég á eitt í Diffused Light) en nýlega komu út Ambient Lighting kinnalitir! Kjálkinn datt í gólfið þegar ég sá þessar gersemar á netinu. Ég verð að fá allavega einn, þessi er Ethereal Glow. Næsta Hourglass varan er Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil sem er öðruvísi en flestir augabrúnablýantar þar sem að oddurinn á honum er skásettur og frekar þykkur. Tvær aðrar Nars vörur eru á listanum, Pro Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base (úff langt nafn) er víst ótrúlega góður primer fyrir feit augnlok, þarf að fá að prufa því ekkert virðist virka fyrir mín. Síðast en alls ekki síst er það Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer sem hefur farið sem eldur í sinu í blogg og Youtube heiminum. Þennan umtalaða hyljara verð ég bara að prufa, strax!

REVIEW | LIME CRIME VELVETINE IN SUEDEBERRY

I ordered a few goodies from BeautyJoint this last month, mostly necessities like lashes for my kit and a back up of my favorite blush, Heather Silk from Wet N Wild. While I was scrolling through the pages, I saw that they have started selling Lime Crime products. I've always been intrigued by the company, it's totally cruelty free and is also vegan, which is always a plus. I've heard plenty of good things about their beautiful vibrant lipsticks and their super long lasting Velvetines. I happily added one of each to my cart. 

I haven't tried the lipstick yet, but I'll keep you posted on that later on. But holy mama, I think I've found a new favorite lip product. I chose the shade Suedeberry from the Velvetines line. It's a vibrant red with  a bit of orange. The consistency of these so called Velvetines, is very thin and liquid y. It comes with a typical lip gloss applicator, it's very easy to apply and opaque in one swipe! It dries to a very, very matte finish but doesn't dry out your lips (do bare in mind to scrub them a bit before applying). The best thing about these is that it stays on like no other! Kiss proof and you can eat a big juicy meal without looking like the Joker afterwards (I ate a big pizza and the color didn't move). I am so happy I tried this and will definitely be getting the other two shades! I got mine on beautyjoint.com for 20$.

Þegar ég var að skoða síðuna sá ég að þau eru byrjuð að selja Lime Crime. Ég hef alltaf verið heilluð af fyrirtækinu, það er algjörlega cruelty free (ekki testað á dýrum) og vegan! Sem er alltaf plús. Ég hef heyrt svo margt gott af fallegu varalitunum þeirra og Velvetines sem eiga að endast eins og draumur. Ég bætti glaðlega einu af hvoru í körfuna hjá mér.

Ég hef ekki enn prufað varalitinn, ég læt ykkur vita með hann seinna. En drottinn minn dýri, ég held ég hafi fundið nýja uppáhalds vöru. Ég valdi litinn Suedeberry frá Velvetines línunni. Hann er bjartur rauður með smá appelsínugulu. Áferðin á þessum svokölluðu Velvetines er þunn og fljótandi. Kemur með týpiskum gloss bursta, mjög auðvelt að setja á varirnar og þekur vel í fyrstu stroku! Þegar hann þornar verður hann mjög mattur, en þurrkar ekki varirnar (best er samt að skrúbba varirnar aðeins áður). Það besta við hann er að hann endist hrikalega vel! Hæfur í kossa þar sem hann smitast ekki og ég gat borðað heila safaríka máltíð án þess að líta út eins og Jókerinn (fékk mér pizzu og liturinn haggaðist ekki). Ég er svo glöð að hafa loksins splæst í einn og ætla ég klárlega að kaupa hina tvo litina. Ég keypti minn á beautyjoint.com á 20$.
