Yesterday I filmed my first haul video, I was a bit worried that no one would want to see it so I asked on instagram and everyone said YES! So here it is, my first (and definitely not last, 'cause you guys know I like shopping) haul video. It's mostly make up (that I bought myself and some stuff I recently got from PR) along with some clothes and other stuff. I am getting tired of saying this but the video is in Icelandic, sorryyyy (I need to grow some balls and film a video in english for you lovely people). Hope you are having a wonderful monday!

Þannig hér er það, mitt fyrsta (og klárlega ekki síðasta þar sem ég er shopaholic) haul video. Flestar vörurnar eru förðunarvörur (bæði sem ég hef keypt sjálf ásamt nokkru sem ég hef fengið frítt) en ég sýni líka flíkur og fleira. AFFORDABLE FAVORITES WEEK | LIPS

Yes, I've done it - I have actually managed to finish off what I said I was going to do, a whole week/three blog posts about my favorite affordable make up items. We'll finish it off with some of my favorite lippies, lets go!

I'll start with lip liners; the EasyLiner for Lips from Jordana are great lipliners, super creamy but stay on very well. I have the shade Tawny which the beautiful Carli Bybel made very popular and Cabarnet, Tawny is a mauvy nude and Cabarnet is a dark burgundy - I really need to get more of these. NYX also has some great lipliners (very similar to MAC lipliners), I have a few but my favorite of the bunch is in Nude Pink. Now moving on to something I am slowly getting into, lip glosses. I don't own too many lip glosses but one I've used quite a lot is the Revlon Super Lustrous gloss in Super Natural. It's a very pretty nudy pink, maybe a tiny bit of mauve? It's perfect over nude or pink lipsticks and just the right amount of sticky.

Ok let's do lipsticks. First off is one of my favorite nude lipsticks, Rimmel Moisture Renew lipstick in Nude Delight. A gorgeous peachy nude, super creamy and comfortable on the lips. Keeping with Rimmel, I also love the Kate Moss line - shade 107 in particular; stunning matte (but not drying) wine red lipstick, great for the fall/winter and smells delicious. I love matte lipsticks and Wet'n'Wild seem to do them very well, the Megalast lipsticks are a big favorite of mine and I own about 10. Some of my favorite shades are Sugarplum Fairy (exact dupe for MAC Rebel), Cherry Bomb (very similar to MAC Diva) and Just Peachy. The packaging sucks but the shade range and beautiful formula make up for it. Yet another one of my favorite mattes is very new to my collection, the Sleek Matte Me lip cream in Rioja Red is a stuunning super matte dark red. It stays on very well but it goes a bit patchy when eating so bare that in mind. Sadly I couldn't photograph one of my absolute favorites because I've lost it, the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Nude-ist. You can read all about it here, it's gorgeous and I need to repurchase it asap. Last but certainly not least are the lipsticks that ruled the world a year or two ago, the Revlon Lip Butters. I own a few and I love them, super moisturizing and comfy on the lips. The shades Tutti Frutti and Strawberry Shortcake are my favorites.

//Jæja! Ég stóð við mitt og þessi blogg vika innihélt aðeins mínar uppáhalds vörur á viðráðanlegu verði. Við skulum klára þetta á nokkrum fallegum varavörum (íslenskan sko..)!

Ég byrja á varablýöntum; EasyLiner for Lips frá Jordana eru frábærir blýantar, vel kremaðir og haldast lengi á. Ég á litinn Tawny sem gullfallega YouTube stjarnan Carli Bybel gerði vinsælan og Cabarnet. Tawny er nude litur í dekkri kantinum og Cabarnet er dökkur fjóluvínrauður (burgundy litur) - ég þarf klárlega að kaupa mér fleiri af þessum. NYX er líka með frábæra varablýanta (mjög svipaðir MAC blýöntunum), ég á nokkra en uppáhaldið mitt er Nude Pink. Við skulum færa okkur í eitthvað sem er frekar nýtt fyrir mér, glossar. Ég á ekkert svakalega marga glossa en einn sem stendur uppúr er Revlon Super Lustrous í litnum Super Natural. Mjög fallegur nude bleikur, fullkominn yfir nude eða bleikan varalit og er ekki of klístraður. 

Þá eru það varalitir. Fyrst er það einn af mínum uppáhalds nude litum, Nude Delight frá Rimmel (Moisture Renew línan). Nude Delight er ótrúlega fallegur ferskju nude litur, virkilega kremaður og þægilegur á vörunum. Annar frá Rimmel sem ég elska er úr Kate Moss línunni - litur 107. Ótrúlega flottur mattur vínrauður varalitur, góður fyrir haustið/veturinn (og lyktin er æði). Ég elska matta varaliti og Wet’n’Wild gera þá vel, Megalast línan er í miklu uppáhaldi hjá mér og ég á allavega 10 stykki. Uppáhalds litirnir mínir eru Sugarplum Fairy (alveg eins og MAC Rebel), Cherry Bomb (mjög líkur MAC Diva) og Just Peachy. Pakkningin er hörmung en litaúrvalið og formúlan bæta upp fyrir það. Enn eitt matt uppáhald er mjög nýtt í mínu safni, Matte Me í litnum Roija Red* frá Sleek. Guullfallegur mattur dökkrauður litur sem helst mjög vel á, ég mæli þó ekki með því að borða með hann á, liturinn verður þá ójafn og skrítinn. Ég hreinlega get ekki gert þessa færslu án þess að minnast á Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet í litnum Nude-ist, ég er búin að týna honum en þú getur séð hann hér. Ég þarf virkilega að kaupa hann aftur, strax. Síðast en alls ekki síst eru það varalitirnir sem réðu yfir heiminum fyrir um tveimur árum, Revlon Lip Butter. Ég á nokkra liti og elska þá, ótrúlega kremaðir og mjúkir og næra varirnar. Uppáhalds litirnir mínir eru Tutti Frutti og Strawberry Shortcake. 

Þá er þessi vika búin, full af ódýrum og góðum vörum sem vert er að kíkja á. Eins og í síðustu tveimur færslum vil ég segja ykkur hvar er hægt að kaupa allar þessar vörur. AFFORDABLE FAVORITES WEEK | EYES

It's time for more of my affordable favorites, this time it's some pretty eye products. I've got some lovely goodies to share with you guys so let's get crackin'.

I don't tend to gravitate towards single shadows, so I have here some great quads and palettes. First off are the Sleek palettes, I own Sunset (review here) and the Original palette, each palette has 12 beautiful eyeshadows that are very pigmented and easy to blend. The next palettes I have are from Wet'n'Wild, I have two of the bigger ones (8 shades in each) Petal Pusher and Comfort Zone but my favorite is the 6 eyeshadow palette called Vanity - it's one of my most used palettes ever (and is now discontinued *tears*). Again, beautiful pigmented shadows that blend well (the Petal Pusher doesn't perform quite as well as the others). The Maybelline quad in Natural Smokes has some gorgeous neutral shades (I mean goooorgeous), great for everyday or even a sultry smokey eye (it has been repackaged, so it looks a bit different now).

A good base is essential for a pretty eye look (at least for oily lid gals like myself), the Wet'n'Wild Take on the Day primer is amazing, it's heavy duty stuff so I've you've got some seriously oily lids you should try this out. Another base that has worked for me are the Color Tattoos from Maybelline. I've got three shades but my favorite of the bunch is Pomegranate Punk (it might be discontinued), a very pretty cranberry shade. You can't go wrong with drugstore mascaras, most of the time they are just as good (or better) then the expensive ones. Two of my favorites are the Jordana Best Lash Extreme and L'oreal False Lash Telescopic. If you want a whole lot of volume, go for Jordana, if you want some serious length, go for the Telescopic.

I'm ending this post off with eyebrows and liner. The NYC Eyeliner Liquide is a cult favorite (thanks Chrisspy!) and it's a favorite for a reason - it's got a brush tips that makes winged liner so much easier and the formula is nice a nice matte black. The Jordana FabuLiner is also a very popular liner, it's a classic liquid liner with a felt tip (I love using this for hiding the band of my eyelashes). The last liner is yet anoter cult favorite, the Rimmel Scandaleyes in Nude - a nude liner that's perfect for the waterline. Last but not least today is an eyebrow product that I've already raved about on the blog, the ELF Eyebrow Kit (mine is in Medium). The wax is beautiful for filling in your brows, just give it a try.

Ég kaupi mér voðalega sjaldan staka augnskugga svo ég ætla að sýna ykkur nokkrar frábærar pallettur. Fyrst eru það Sleek palletturnar, ég á Sunset (færsla hér) og the Original. Sleek palletturnar innahalda 12 frábæra augnskugga sem eru vel pigmentaðir og blandast auðveldlega. Næstu palletturnar eru frá Wet'n'Wild, ég á tvær sem eru í stærri gerðinni (8 skuggar) í litunum Petal Pusher og Comfort Zone en mín uppáhalds er minni (6 augnskuggar) og heitir Vanity (ekki seld lengur :() Eins og með Sleek palletturnar þá eru augnskuggarnir hjá Wet'n'Wild vel pigmentaðir og blandast vel (Petal Pusher er samt síst). Næst er ég með Maybelline Natural Smokes quad (4 litir), ótrúlega fallegir litir frábærir hversdags eða fyrir flott smokey (það er búið að breyta pakkningunum á þessari svo hún lítur aðeins öðruvísi út núna).

Góður grunnur er nauðsynlegur fyrir fallegt augnskuggalúkk (allavega fyrir dömur eins og mig sem eru með mjög feit augnlok). Wet'n'Wild Take on the Day augnskuggaprimerinn er frábær, ef þú ert með viiirkilega feit augnlok þá er þessi fyrir þig. Annar frábær grunnur eru Color Tattooin frá Maybelline, þeir koma í fullt af litum en ég á 3 og sá sem er í uppáhaldi er Pomegranate Punk (gæti verið hætt að selja hann), virkilega flottur cranberry litur. Mér finnst ódýrir maskarar vera alveg jafn góðir ef ekki betri en dýrir maskarar. Tveir sem eru í miklu uppáhaldi eru Jordana Best Lash Extreme og False Lash Telescopic frá L'oreal. Ef þú villt þétt og þykk augnhár þá er Best Lash Extreme frábær en ef þú villt lengingu þá er Telescopic mjög góður. 

Ég ætla að enda þetta með linerum og augabrúnavörum. NYC Eyeliner Liquide hefur slegið í gegn uppá síðkastið (takk Chrisspy!) enda frábær blautur liner með alvöru bursta (með hárum) sem auðveldar það að setja á sig winged liner og svarta formúlan er æði og þornar mött. Annar sem er mjög vinsæll er Jordana FabuLiner, hræódýr liner sem er eiginlega bara eins og mjór tússpenni. Mér finnst þessi mjög góður til að fara yfir gerviaugnháralím. Síðasti linerinn er Rimmel Scandaleys í litnum Nude, mjög flottur kohl blýantur í húðlit sem er frábær í vatnslínuna. Síðast en ekki síst í dag er það ELF Eyebrow Kitið sem ég hef talað um margoft hér á blogginu, vaxið er frábært til að fylla í augabrúnirnar, þú verður bara að prófa. 

Eins og síðast þá eru margar vörurnar hér ekki til á Íslandi. Jú, Sleek er til á haustfjord.is og ELF á eyeslipsface.is, Maybelline er til í apótekum og búðum en ég er ekki viss hvort að þessir augnskuggar séu til þar. Wet'n'Wild, Jordana og NYC vörur eru til (hræódýrar) á beautyjoint.com.

REVIEW | SLEEK POUT PAINT IN MINX

SLEEK POUT PAINT IN MINX

I think I've found a new obsession of mine, the Pout Paints from Sleek. I've already shown you guys the shade Lava and told you all about how much I love it. I have bought three new shades, a pink, a white and a blue - just so I can mix things up you know. I'll show you the pink one today and I will be doing a post on the other ones and how I mix them together.

The pink one I got is called Minx, it's more of a pinky nude and it's very pretty. As with the other one, it applies like a dream. It's opaque right away and it has a nice sheen. It doesn't last on the lips quite as well as the Lava shade but it's still going strong after 4 hours. As I've said, you need a lip brush to apply this and as the packaging says "a little goes a long way" - so just squeeze a tiny little dot on the back of your hand and you will be good to go.

Síðan ég keypti hann er ég búin að kaupa þrjá aðra liti, bleikan, hvítan og bláan - til að blanda saman og gera fleiri fína liti. Ég ætla að sýna ykkur bleika litinn í dag en ég mun gera færslu bráðlega um hvernig hinir eru og hvernig ég blanda þeim saman.

Bleiki sem ég keypti í þetta skiptið heitir Minx og er meira svona bleikur nude litur. Mjög sætur. Eins og með hinn litinn þá er mjög auðvelt að bera hann á, hann er með þétta þekju í fyrstu umferð og með fallegan gloss. Hann endist ekki alveg jafn lengi og Lava en liturinn er samt í góðu lagi eftir 4 tíma. Eins og ég sagði í síðustu færslunni þá þarftu að nota varabursta með þessari vöru, kreistir smávegis á handarbakið á þér og notar svo burstann til að setja litinn á varirnar.

REVIEW | SLEEK POUT PAINT IN LAVA

As I've said so many times before, I've been on a total lip product kick lately. Whether it be a good nude, a bright pink or a stunning red - I am loving a good lippie. I recently did a review on the Sunset palette from Sleek and told you guys that Sleek recently launched here in Iceland. Well, I also picked up one of their Pout Paints in the shade Lava and I am loving it!

These Pout Paints have been compared to the very well known OCC Lip Tars. They come in a squeezy tube and a little goes a very long way. The color I got is called Lava and is a beautiful orange. I squeezed a tiny bit on the back of my hand and I applied the product to my lips using a lip brush. It's not completely opaque at first but if you apply 2-3 coats it is. The thing I loved about this, apart from being a gorgeous color, is the longevity. It has a glossy finish that actually lasts for at least 3 hours, after the gloss goes away you still have a nice color and at the end of the day you are left with a nice orange stain.

The other great thing about these is that you can mix them with other shades to get the perfect color you are looking for. I've already got my eyes on some of the other shades and I'm excited about giving them a go and mix away! Have you tried any of these Pout Paints? What are your favorite shades?

Hvort sem það sé góður nude, bjartur bleikur eða klassískur rauður - ég er að fýla fallegar varir! Þessi Pout Paints hafa borið saman við sívinsælu Lip Tars frá OCC. Þeir koma í kreisti túbu og þú þarft mjög lítið til að fá góða þekju. Ég keypti litinn Lava og er hann fallegur appelsínugulur. Ég kreisti smávegis á handabakið og notaði svo varabursta til að setja litinn á varirnar. Hann þekur ekki alveg í fyrstu umferð en eftir 2-3 umferðir þá nær hann 100% þekju. Það sem ég elskaði við þessa vöru, fyrir utan fallega litinn, var hvað liturinn entist vel á vörunum! Glossinn helst á í allavega 3 tíma og þegar glossinn fer er liturinn enn á, í enda dagsins skilur hann svo eftir smávegis lit á vörunum.

Það skemmtilega við þessi Pout Paints er að það er auðvelt að blanda litunum saman og búa til þinn fullkomna lit. FACE Loreal True Match in W3, Graftobian HD Glamour Creme Palette, MAC Well Dressed, Sleek Contour Kit in Light, EYEBROWS/EYES Anastasia Brow Wiz in Medium Ash, MAC Shroom, Jordana Fabuliner, MAC Shroom, Rimmel Scandaleyes in Nude, Maybeline The Falsies LIPS Rimmel Kate Moss 107.

These past two days have been pretty gloomy, I've been super tired and the weather has been terrible. So I decided to slap on some make up to feel a bit better. First off, as a base I used Loreal True Match foundation and to conceal under my eyes I used the Graftobian HD Glamour Creme Palette. For blush I picked good old MAC Well Dressed and then bronzed and highlighted with the Sleek Contour Kit in light. I filled in my eyebrows the Anastasia Brow Wiz in Medium Ash. On my lids I put on the highlighter from the contour kit and in the crease I used the bronzer shade. MAC Shroom in the inner corners and under the brow bone. For eyeliner I used Jordana Fabuliner for a bit of a flick and then Rimmel Scandaleyes in Nude on the waterline. Few coats of the Maybeline Falsies mascara and then I smacked some of the Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 107. Such a pretty color!

//Síðustu tveir dagarnir hafa verið hálf leiðinlegir, ég er búin að vera að drepast úr þreytu og veðrið er búið að vera hörmung. Svo ég ákvað að hressa mig við með því að skella á mig smávegis af make upi! Farði dagsins var Loreal True Match og síðan notaði ég Graftobian HD Glamour Creme Palette-una mína til að hylja undir augunum. Ég notaði gamla góða MAC Well Dressed á kinnarnar og Sleek Contour Kit í litnum Light notaði ég til að gefa mér smá lit og highlight. Anastasia Brow Wiz notaði ég fyrir augabrúnirnar. Ég notaði contour kitið aftur á augun, highlighterinn yfir allt og smávegis af dökka til að skyggja. Undir augabrúnirnar notaði ég MAC Shroom til að highlighta enn meir. Næst notaði ég Jordana Fabuliner í smávegis cat flick og Rimmel Scandaleyes í Nude á vatnslínuna. Nóg af Maybelline The Falsies maskaranum og síðan skellti ég á mig Rimmel Kate Moss varalitnum í lit 107. Æðislegur litur! og ekki skemmir fyrir að hann er ekki dýr.

MY EVERYDAY MAKEUP

 

Since I just did a 'What's in my makeup bag post' I wanted to show you guys my everyday make up as well. This is what I usually go for. I do of course switch out products, but this is usually what the end result looks like. Fresh faced and pretty.

I start off with a moisturized face and apply my Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush and then I apply concealer underneath my eyes, I use the Graftobian HD Glamour Creme Palette and blend it out with my fingers and the same brush I used for my foundation. Next I set it in place with my MAC MSF Natural in Light, mainly on my t-zone and afterwards I fill my eyebrows in with MAC Eyebrow Pencil in Lingering. I apply my blush with my Real Techniques blush brush and this week I've been loving MAC Warm Soul and Wet N Wild Heather Silk together. Then I do a little bronzing, contouring and highlighting with my Sleek Contour Kit in Light blending it out with my MAC 109. On my eyes I either just put on my Loreal Telescopic Mascara to my lashes and leave it at that. But today I smudged a little bit of my MAC Eye Kohl in Teddy on my upper lash line with a MAC 239. Lastly I just apply some chapstick on my lips and that's it!

MOST USED IN 2012

I really wanted to make a post like this before it was too late, so here it is! It was super hard to pick my favorites, at first I had a list of 26 products, but I narrowed it down to these 10 :) (this is for real the most used products of 2012, I didn't want to include products that I haven't really tested out too much)

1. Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation

I have it in the shade 54 and it matches me perfectly. It leaves a beautiful natural finish on the skin, light to medium coverage but is definitely buildable if you need more. I like it for everyday use because it doesn't feel heavy on the skin, but I do often wear this when I go out since it doesn't have SPF so it doesn't give you that white cast in pictures plus it stays on very nicely. Great affordable foundation and if you haven't tried it, I recommend you do!

2. MAC Mineralized Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle

This gives me a nice shimmery glow (not too shimmery though), it gives my face that beautiful highlight everyone loves!

3. MAC Charcoal Brown

Definitely my holy grail eyebrow product! I use this seriously every single day! and I find it suits a lot of different hair colors. It's just perfect. 

4. MAC Peach Blossom

my favorite "my lips but better" color, I usually only use chapstick on an everyday basis, but when I want a bit of colour, this is the one I always use. Lovely soft pinky peach

5. Flora by Gucci

Amazing perfume that I've loved all year long (I had been spraying this on myself every time I went into a store that sold this, then I finally got it in november).

6. Morocan Oil Light

Everyone has heard about this and chances are you've tried it. This is just amazing, I apply it to wet hair and it just makes my hair silky smooth and shiny. 

7. Loreal Telescopic

Oldie but a goodie. This makes my tiny little lashes way longer, doesn't smudge and stays on all day.

8. Lorac Pro Palette

Great color range, great color pay off, great packaging! 

9. MAC Melba blush

This has been my go to blush this year, it's a matte coral-peach and gives me a instant healthy glow look!

10. Sleek Contour Kit in Light

I only use the contouring color, don't really care for the highlighter. But the contouring color is a nice natural contouring shade and not orange at all. Plus it's affordable and I love Sleek's packaging, it's so sleek hehe
